Haley Verrillo, MCD, CCC-SLP
Haley is a certified speech-language pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in New Jersey. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Stockton University and her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Carolina.
With nearly a decade of experience, Haley has had the joy of working with children and teens with a wide range of communication needs. Her areas of specialty include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, pragmatic (social) language, stuttering, articulation and phonological disorders, hearing impairments, auditory processing, and executive functioning challenges.
Haley has a special passion for working with children who have speech sound disorders, phonological impairments, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She loves helping children go from feeling frustrated to finding their voice, celebrating each new sound, word, and sentence along the way. Her approach blends evidence-based methods with playful, motivating activities to make progress both effective and fun.
She has completed extensive continuing education in speech sounds, stuttering, and social communication. Haley is PROMPT Level 1 trained and trained in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), two highly respected, evidence-based approaches for treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She is also a certified provider of the PEERS® program—the only evidence-based social skills program for adolescents and young adults with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other social challenges.
Above all, Haley is passionate about building strong relationships with families and collaborating with other professionals to create meaningful, individualized support for every child’s success.
